CISCO TECHNOLOGIES FOR VOICE OVER IP AND QOS COURSE

The Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Voice over IP and QoS (CVOICE) v8.0 course provides students with an understanding of the most important aspects of packet telephony by teaching technologies that are equally applicable both across the enterprise and in the infrastructure of providers. He talks about voice gateways, the stages of establishing a VoIP call, basic configuration of IP phones in Cisco Unified Communication Manager Express, provides knowledge about gatekeepers and Cisco Unified Border Element gateways. The course also teaches students the fundamentals of the QoS technology required to ensure adequate voice quality in converged networks.

Course objectives: Voice engineer jobs

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

Determine the components, processes and capabilities of a traditional telephony network

Select appropriate analog and digital interfaces for connecting Cisco voice gateways to a traditional telephony network

Describe various signaling methods for implementation in the telephone network between PBXs and city PBXs, between PBXs of different offices, as well as specialized signaling systems, for example, ISDN

Explain what a voice gateway is, describe its use, components and functions

Describe the characteristics and configuration elements of the VoIP call stages

Know how IP phones are configured in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express

Configure Dial Plan Components in Cisco Voice Gateways

Know what a gatekeeper and Cisco Unified Border Element are, how they work, and what features they support

Explain what QoS is, what it does, and how it can be configured on a Cisco Unified Communications network

The audience

Network administrators, network engineers faced with the need for voice transmission using data networks.

The listener is required

understanding concepts and technologies of computer networks such as LAN, WAN, IP switching and routing basics

ability to configure and work with Cisco routers and switches at the CCNA certification level (within the courses ICND1, ICND2)

Basic knowledge of traditional voice network, converged network, and data network at the CCNA Voice certification level (as part of the ICOMM course).
